The Arts & Education Exchange Is Live
Whether you are a storefront theatre, a well-known orchestra, a long-time dancer and teaching artist, or a recent graduate with an arts education degree, getting your foot in the door at schools where you don't know anyone can be a challenge. That's what arts providers -- of all artistic disciplines and from all corners of the state -- have told us.
That’s why Arts Alliance Illinois launched the Arts & Education Exchange this fall. The Exchange is a free, easy-to-use online service that connects you with educators to give students an opportunity for expression and self-discovery through creative outlets such as ballet, theatre, or pottery.
Our partners include the Illinois Arts Council, the Illinois State Board of Education, Chicago Public Schools, Ingenuity Incorporated, and many more.
How does the Exchange work? As an arts provider, you post details, pictures, video, and audio about your programs. Educators can then tap into the Exchange and search for arts programming that helps them encourage their students' success.
Educators can also post specific arts requests for their classrooms in the Exchange, which you can search and respond to in order to craft the ideal program for that educator's students.
The Exchange can be your introduction to area schools and teachers and will help you bring your programs to students who don't currently have access to the arts.
