Holding a community forum on arts education is a great way to raise awareness and build support for arts education in your community.  The Illinois Arts Alliance is looking for partners in communities throughout the state that would like to work with us to co-host a arts education community forum.  These forums have been extremely successful in Carbondale and Champaign!

At each of the forums the Illinois Arts Alliance will present the results of a study revealing broad disparities in the amount of arts education provided in public schools throughout the state.  The report, Arts at the Core: Every School, Every Student, contains data on the types of arts programs being provided, where the gaps are and how Illinois compares nationally.  Following the presentation, a distinguished group of local panelists will discuss arts education challenges and successes and identify ways to strengthen arts education in the local school system.
