Arts Education Resource Guidebook Survey

Thanks to the generous support of the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation and The Chicago Community Trust, the Illinois Arts Alliance, through our Illinois Creates arts education advocacy initiative, is developing a new Arts Education Resource Guidebook.

This Guidebook is not a curriculum guide, rather it is a resource schools and districts can use to plan and advocate for quality arts education programs. The Guidebook will share successful models from across the state in order to support and inspire schools that continue to develop their arts education programs. In addition, the Guidebook will describe policies, practices and support systems that are needed to achieve success in arts education.

We would like to ask for your help in designing the Resource Guidebook. Whether you are a school administrator, curriculum coordinator, arts educator, classroom teacher, parent or community arts leader your input is needed. Please consider taking our survey - which will take about 20 minutes and requires you to answer a series of 15 open ended questions. You can start and stop taking the survey at any point and without losing any of the information you have provided.

Those who complete all questions of the survey before November 2, 2007 will be put in a drawing and one person will be randomly selected to receive a $500 award that will go to the school of their choice to support its arts education program.

Click here to begin taking the survey.

Thank you for supporting this effort! We look forward to sharing the Guidebook with you in July 2008
