Research

In the fall of 2001 CompassPoint Nonprofit Services completed Daring to Lead – A study on nonprofit executive tenure, a survey of more than 1,000 nonprofit leaders from around the country. The report includes findings on nonprofit executive career paths, tenure, salaries, and job challenges. Included is a series of Calls to Action for funders, technical assistance providers, boards of directors, and executives themselves – strategies for supporting and retaining the sector's leadership talent.
