Arts Alliance Illinois provides the facts and figures you need to make the case for the impact of the arts on our economy, neighborhoods, and schools. Check out the latest arts funding facts and learn about our work with the Arts & Economic Prosperity study and the Cultural Data Project.
How many dollars do we generate? Let's find out:
Arts Alliance Illinois is pleased to serve as the Illinois partner with Americans for the Arts (AFTA) for the fifth iteration of the Arts & Economic Prosperity study (AEP5). The study will quantify the economic impact - jobs, household income, state and local tax revenue, and more - generated by arts and culture in Illinois. The Alliance and AFTA will release the final study, one statewide version and one specific to Chicago, in June 2017.
We are currently busy collecting data, including audience surveys at arts and culture events throughout the state. You can contribute to the success of AEP5 by helping collect surveys or by connecting us to arts organizations that might be willing to host survey collection at one of their events.
