About Facilitated Mentoring

The facilitator's role is to implement the recruitment, application and selection process that helps participants find an appropriate mentor or mentee. In addition it provides each pair with resources and training to help them make the most of their partnership, and provide ongoing support for the project period. Once the pairs have been matched and the mentors and mentees are working their plans, the facilitator takes a behind the scenes role in the relationships. This does not mean that he or she disappears, but rather is providing background support so the relationship can take center stage. This support is in the form of:
